IKEA to build an entire Neighbourhood in London

The site will look like a ‘mini Venice’, as it will be surrounded by two waterways. Residents will have moorings, water-taxi services and a floating cocktail bar at their disposal.

The British Museum is to stage a major exhibition dedicated to the hajj, the Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca. Ahmed Matter used magnets and iron filings to symbolise hundreds of thousands of pilgrims circumambulating the Ka’bah, the black granite cube in Mecca thought to be built by Abraham and his son Ishmael.
